How to work with tab groups in Edge?

Answer

The tab groups feature in the Microsoft Edge browser is designed to effectively organize a large number of open web pages and keep your workspace tidy. When you are researching multiple topics at the same time, working on projects, or checking email, groups help visually separate tabs by category, color, and name, preventing confusion and saving time when searching for the necessary resource.

To combine multiple tabs into a group, follow these simple steps:

Open all the necessary web pages you want to group in the current browser window.
Right-click the first required tab and select Add tab to new group from the context menu.
Enter a clear name for the created group in the field that appears and choose a label color to quickly distinguish it from other categories.
Drag the remaining necessary tabs with your mouse into the created group or add them via the context menu by selecting an existing category.

Managing created groups is highly flexible and simple. You can collapse the entire group with a single click on its title, which allows you to instantly free up space on the tab bar if you are not currently working with these pages. You can expand the group in the exact same way — by clicking the header again.

If you need to delete a group or close all the pages included in it, right-click the colored pill of the group and select the corresponding item. The browser will prompt you to close the entire group or ungroup the tabs, returning them to their normal state. This makes the tool an indispensable assistant for those who are used to keeping dozens of tabs open simultaneously.
