How to enable Edge synchronization?

Data synchronization in the Microsoft Edge browser is an indispensable tool for users who work on multiple different devices, such as a work PC, a home laptop, and a mobile phone. This feature combines all your digital habits into a single ecosystem, automatically transferring browsing history, saved passwords, bookmarks, and open tabs via cloud storage.

The first step to activate this feature is to sign in to your personal Microsoft account through the browser interface by clicking on the profile icon in the upper left corner and entering your account details. If you do not yet have an account, the system will prompt you to register one in a couple of minutes right during the initial profile setup.

After successful authorization, go to the main menu of the program, select Settings, and go to the very first section Profiles, where your active account will be displayed. In this section, click on the Sync item to open a detailed list of all data categories available for sharing, including favorites, extensions, collections, and autofill addresses.

On the page that opens, you will see toggle switches for each type of data, which allow you to fine-tune what exactly should be transferred between your devices and what is better to keep local. Once all parameters are set, all up-to-date information will begin to update automatically in the background, and you will be able to seamlessly continue working with the same tabs on any other computer.
