How to use the tab undocking and split screen features in the Opera browser?

Modern web technologies and workflows often require viewing multiple pages simultaneously without the need to constantly switch between tabs. The Opera browser provides advanced tools for organizing screen space, including floating windows and workspace splitting.

The simplest way to move a tab's content outside the main window is to use the undock function. To do this, hover your mouse cursor over the desired tab on the top panel, hold down the left mouse button, and drag it outside the browser panel, or click the special button in the tab's drop-down menu to launch it in a separate compact window on top of other programs.

If you need to work with two websites simultaneously on a single monitor, it is convenient to use third-party screen-splitting extensions or the native capabilities of the operating system, but Opera offers its own ergonomics through the feature of quickly creating tiles from tabs. You can hold down the Ctrl key, select multiple tabs, and open them in adjacent windows.

To increase productivity, it is also recommended to use the feature of instantly minimizing undocked windows into thumbnail mode. This allows you to monitor live streams, chats, or documents while you are busy typing in another full-screen program.

All changes in window placement are easily reset back. Simply drag the undocked tab back onto the main browser window's tab panel, and it will return to its previous position in the session structure.
