How to use the split-screen feature in Android to work with two apps simultaneously?
The split-screen mode in the Android operating system allows you to comfortably use two different programs at the same time by placing their interfaces on a single display. This solution is ideal for situations when you need to copy text from a browser into a messenger, watch a video and take notes simultaneously, or compare information from two documents.
To activate multi-window mode on most modern devices, you need to open the recent apps menu. To do this, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold your finger in the center, or tap the special square navigation button on the control panel.
In the appeared list of recent apps, find the first program you want to launch in the upper or left half of the screen. Tap the icon of this application, located at the top of its card, to bring up the context menu with additional control options.
In the opened menu, select the item named Split screen. After that, the selected program will occupy the upper or left part of the display, and the lower half will automatically display a grid with the remaining available applications, among which you need to select the second program for simultaneous work.
A thin dividing line will appear between the two open windows. You can drag this boundary up or down to change the screen proportions and allocate more space for the desired application. To close the multi-window mode and return to normal usage, simply drag the dividing line all the way to the edge of the screen in the direction you need.
