How to enable the Opera ad blocker?

Enabling the built-in ad blocker in the Opera browser is an effective way not only to get rid of annoying banners and pop-ups, but also to significantly speed up web page loading and reduce internet traffic consumption. The feature works right "out of the box" and does not require installing third-party extensions from the add-ons store.

To activate this feature, you need to follow a few simple steps. First, open the main browser menu or press the shortcut keys to go to the settings section.

After activating the feature, a special blue shield icon will appear in the browser's address bar. By clicking on it, you can view detailed statistics on exactly how many advertisements and tracking scripts have been blocked on the current page for all time or for a specific session.

If a website displays incorrectly due to the filters, you can easily add it to exceptions. To do this, simply click on the same shield icon in the address bar and switch the blocking toggle to the inactive state only for this specific resource, after which the page will automatically reload.
