How to set up automatic history clearing when closing Firefox?

Automatically clearing history when closing the browser helps maintain the highest level of privacy and saves disk space. This feature is useful for those who do not want to leave traces of their activity on the computer and prefer to start fresh each time they work.

Launch the browser, open the settings menu, and go to the Privacy & Security section. Scroll down the page content to the block dedicated to browsing history and downloads.

In the history settings field, select the option stating that Firefox will use custom settings for history retention. After that, an additional parameters block with several checkboxes for various data types will appear slightly below.

Check the box next to clearing history when Firefox closes.
