How to synchronize Firefox across devices?

Data synchronization between various devices is one of the most useful features of a modern browser, allowing you to have all the necessary information at your fingertips. Using a Firefox account, you can easily transfer open tabs, bookmarks, browsing history, saved passwords, and installed extensions from a home computer to a work laptop or mobile phone. This spares the user from the need to manually transfer links or memorize important website addresses.

To start the process of uniting your devices into a single ecosystem, open the browser on the first device and click on the icon with three horizontal lines in the upper right corner. In the menu that appears, find and select the top item Turn on sync... or Sign in to Firefox, which opens the account setup wizard. The program will prompt you to create a new account by entering your email address and coming up with a strong password, or to sign in to an existing account.

After successful authorization, you will be taken to the sync settings menu, where you can check the boxes for the types of data you want to transfer to other devices. You can synchronize bookmarks, history, passwords, open tabs, addresses, credit cards, and even installed add-ons. All information is encrypted using your master password, which guarantees a high level of security and confidentiality of the transmitted data.

Then take the second device, whether it is another computer or smartphone, open the Firefox browser on it, and perform a similar sign-in to the exact same account. After authorization, the devices will automatically connect to each other, and all information will begin to transfer in the background. If necessary, you can manage the list of synchronized items at any time by going to Settings, and then selecting the Sync section to change data transfer parameters.
