How to set up automatic tab closing in Safari?

The automatic tab closing feature in the Safari browser helps keep your workspace organized and saves the device's system resources. Over time, every user accumulates dozens of open pages that they never return to. Configuring this parameter allows you to fully automate the routine cleaning of your digital space.

To set up automatic tab closing on a Mac, open the Safari browser and go to the settings menu by selecting the corresponding item or pressing the Command and comma shortcut. In the window that opens, go to the Tabs tab, which controls the behavior and appearance of navigation elements.

Find the line named Close Tabs and click the drop-down menu next to it. The system will offer you several time intervals to choose from: after one day, after one week, or after one month. On iOS mobile devices, this process looks similar, but is configured through the system Settings app. Scroll down the list to Safari, find the Tabs section, and select the Close Tabs subsection.
