How to disable website notifications in Chrome?

Annoying pop-up notifications from various websites and news portals can be very distracting from work and consume the user's attention. The Google Chrome browser provides a flexible permission management system that allows you to completely block the sending of such requests or configure them granularly for each individual resource.

The first step to changing these settings is to open the main menu of the application. Click on the three vertical dots icon located in the upper right corner of the browser window, and select Settings from the list that appears. A new tab with all program configuration parameters will open in front of you.

In the left column of settings or in the main workspace, find the section called Privacy and security. Go into it and select the Site settings subsection, which is responsible for managing web resource access to your geolocation, camera, microphone, and alert system.

Inside the site settings, find the Notifications category, which is responsible for sending pop-up windows to the desktop. Here you can see the current rules and a list of sites that are already allowed or denied to send you messages.

To globally disable pop-up windows, move the switch to the Don't allow sites to send notifications position. In addition, you can manually add specific websites to the allow or block lists using the add buttons next to the respective blocks, which ensures complete control over digital hygiene.
