How to set up screen recording with sound on Android smartphones without installing third-party apps?

Modern versions of the Android operating system have a built-in tool for recording what is happening on the display. This feature is useful for creating tutorial videos, recording gameplay, or saving important moments from video calls. To start recording, swipe down from the top edge of the screen twice to open the expanded quick settings panel.

Find the icon labeled Screen Recorder. If it is not there, tap the pencil or edit parameters icon and drag the required tile to the active area of the panel. Tap this icon, after which a small window with additional capture parameters will appear on the screen.

The system usually offers to select the audio source and specify whether to display screen touches. You can record silence, sound from multimedia speakers, or use the built-in microphone to simultaneously comment on what is happening. After selecting all settings, tap the Start button.

A countdown will begin, upon completion of which the system will start video capture. In the corner or on the floating panel, a timer and a stop button will be displayed. To finish recording, simply tap this control element or pull down the notification shade and tap the corresponding button.

The created file will be automatically saved in your device's gallery in a special album. You can immediately view it, trim unnecessary fragments using the built-in editor, or send it via messengers and social networks.
