How to transfer contacts from an Android phone to a computer or another operating system?

Transferring a phone book from an Android mobile device to a computer or a device with a different operating system may be necessary for backup or migration. The simplest and most universal method is using cloud synchronization with your Google account, to which the smartphone is linked.

To export contacts as a separate file, open the official Contacts app on your smartphone. Go to the app's settings menu, find the data management or export section, and select export to a VCF format file.
