QUESTION: Processes: how to control quality and SLA?
Quality control and compliance with service level agreements, known as SLAs, are mandatory conditions for maintaining a high level of customer service and operational reliability of the business. Without clear metrics and regular monitoring, it is impossible to guarantee the stability of processes, whether it is customer support, software development, or logistics.
For effective quality control within company processes, it is necessary to establish a standard funnel for customer interaction or task execution: lead, qualification, proposal, deal, and retention. Each of these stages must have its own measurable SLA standards; for example, the lead qualification time should not exceed fifteen minutes, and the support ticket closure time should not exceed two hours.
It is extremely important to improve the quality control system one bottleneck at a time, rather than trying to rebuild all processes simultaneously. If an SLA failure is recorded at the proposal stage, analyze precisely this step, find the cause of delays, conduct additional employee training, or automate routine operations, and only after stabilizing the indicator move on to the next stage of the funnel.
