QUESTION: Какой тип платежа выгоднее при кредите?
The choice of loan payment type is a key financial issue that determines the total overpayment amount and the burden on your budget. The Russian market most often offers two options: annuity and differentiated. To understand which one is more profitable specifically for you, you need to assess your current income and financial goals.
The differentiated payment is traditionally considered more profitable in terms of savings. With this repayment method, the principal debt is divided into equal parts for the entire loan term, and interest is accrued on the remaining balance. As a result, the monthly payment constantly decreases from month to month. The main advantage of this option is that the total interest overpayment is noticeably lower than with an annuity. However, it has a significant drawback for the borrower: at the very beginning of the loan period, payments will be at their maximum, which requires a high level of current income.
The annuity payment is structured differently: you pay a fixed amount every month throughout the entire loan term. Within this payment, the ratio of the principal debt and interest changes: at first, you mostly pay off interest, and the loan body is repaid slowly. The main advantage of an annuity is the convenience of planning your personal budget, since the size of the monthly installment does not change. At the same time, the total interest overpayment is higher here because the principal debt decreases more slowly.
If you want to minimize expenses and are confident in the stability of your income, it is more profitable to choose a differentiated payment, although banks offer it less often. If predictability and a comfortable monthly installment size without peak loads at the start are more important to you, it is better to choose an annuity. It is also worth remembering that any loan can be repaid ahead of schedule, which allows you to significantly reduce overpayment regardless of the chosen payment type.
